From Phnomh Penh to Siem Reap by boat.
We decided to take the boat to Siem Reap and not the bus. These are fast boats, but the trip took longer than expected because the water level of the Tonle Sap lake was very low, so the boat could not proceed to Siem Reap. We had to transfer to smaller boats for the last part of the trip

The floating villages of Tonle Sap are famous. Their location depends on the water level in the lake. When the level is low, the villages move out in the lake. Everything is there, shops, church, police station.

Arrival at the Siem Reap jetty

The jetty is still far from Siem Reap. You have to bargain for transport. Everything is very dirty. Siem Reap itself is a nice village, but quite touristy. We stayed in a nice new hotel, the Golden Temple Villa
