wrote on Feb 8, 2007: Etlingera elatior ALPINIEAE kantan Mauritius. Of all gingers in the peninsula, Etlingeras have the most colourful inflorescence and fruits, but this introduced species is widely used for its edible flower cooked in laksa and sliced in salads. |
