The engineers and architects take no notice of warnings from the Geologist regarding slippage. Too many "presents" being given to those who give the permissions to the developers of such projects. Not so long ago it was the kids who got killed because of buildings on unstable slopes. Recently one of my friends has moved from his apartment in Bangsar because of a development issue similar to yours. I don’t think there is any common sense anymore in mainland Malaysia regarding building planning.. Bob G.

It was painful to look at the photos, especially as I have seen the beautfiul view as it used to be ,from your balcony. It is heartbreaking to see such destruction. In one way I hope the project goes ahead and doesn't get abandoned once they have started building. But of course it would be better if it was abandoned now before too much is built. The same happened next to my old condo at Robson. The forested hill was cleared for the Vasana development. Luckily I couldn't see it from my condo, but my friend Gerry who lived in the neighbouring place looked right down onto the development. I've made an album. Selangor keeps making noise about not being able to build on hill slopes more than 30o but this rule is rarely enforced it seems. |
